        Hastings Divorce Petition In the Divorce Court on Friday last week, Mr. Justice Barnard had before him the petition of Mrs. Ivy. Doris Bateman, St. Helen's-road, Hastings, for
        decree nisi against her husband. Edward Sutherland Bateman on the ground of his adultery at the May Fair Hotel, London, and at another hotel in 1943.

There was a reconciliation in 1935 and a child was born the following year. Then the marriage continued satisfactorily till her husband joined the R.A.F. In 1940. Petitioner's case was that from that time her husband's manner changed,
