        MR. W. C. BOORER
        The funeral took place on Friday of Mr. Walter Charles Boorer. of 50, Southdown- avenue. Hanwell, who died on February 19, aged 77.
        A service at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Hanwell, conducted by the Rev. C. H. Sharp. was followed by burial in Ealing Cemetery.
        Born in West Ealing. Mr. Boorer was, through his mother, a member of the Bailey family, of long association with Ealing. His grandfather, a master builder, erected much of the property in the Madeley-road. Westbury-road, and Woodville- gardens area. as well as the shops adjoining Ealing Broadway Station.
        Mr. Boorer was in earlier life a carpenter and could recall working on the conversion of the Walpole Cinema from a roller skating rink to its present function. He later became a tobacconist,
        Mr. Boorer was survived although only by eight days- his his wife Edith. He also leaves a son, Reginald, and a daughter, Joan.
