        OBITUARY.
        MR. J. KIDD. The funeral took place on Thursday last week in the Roman Catholic portion of St. James's Cemetery, of Mr. John Kidd, who died on December 9th, at the age of seventy years. The remains were borne to the Cemetery on a gun carriage, the bearers being supplied by the R.G.A. The Rev. Father Gilking officiated. The mourners present were Mrs. Kida (widow), Mr. James Kidd (son), Mire and Mrs. Jones (son-in-law and daughter), Mr. and Mrs. Cheeseman (son-in-law and daugh. ter), Miss May Kidd (daughter). Mr. and Mrs. Slado (father and mother-in-law), Mr. George Young, and Sister Elizabeth. Floral tributes were sent from Mum, Jim and Mary; Bella, Cecil and his granddaughter Ivy; his nephew, Albert Denn; Bessie, George and family; Mr. and Mrs. A. Watson; Mr. and Mrs. Meekin; Mary Ann and family (Sheerness); friends and neighbours; Mr. and Mrs. Fisher and family (3, Archcliffe Rd.); Mother, Father, Mary Ann and John Slade; Ivy and Miss Reeve. The funeral arrangements were carried out by Messrs. Venner and Son, of 39, High St.
