Would seem to be a match for Samuel:-
NOVEMBER, 1, 1864. MAGISTRATES' MEETING,
Before the Hon. and Rev. F. Bertie and F. E. S.Viret, Esq.
USING GUNPOWDER.- Two boys named William Lampitt and Samuel Perrin, 13 years of age each, were charged on suspicion of having on the 19th inst., between eight and nine in the evening, set fire to the church-yard gate at Thame by using gun. powder, and thereby damaging the gate to the amount of 30s. From the evidence of the boys it would appear that they had let a little powder off, which they had laid in a train, near the gate, and then went away, not knowing that anything was wrong. Other persons also passed through the church-yard, close to the gate, after ten o'clock, and did not notice any fire, nor was it discovered till five o'clock the following morning, and then it was seen by a labourer as he was going to his work, and at that time in a blaze. They were ordered to pay $1 is. 6d. sach, or to go to gaol for 14 days' hard labour.
