        Game Trespass - Mark Ravening and James Martin, both of Lewknor, were charged with trespassing in search of game and conies, on land in the occupation of Major T White, at Lewknor, on the 18th March - William Bowler, of Lewknor, said that he saw the defendants about quarter to seven in the evening coming along through the wood at the top of Beacon Hill. He watched them and saw them set two snares. When they saw him they ran away. He afterwards picked up 30 snares. - Douglas Cave said that he was the shooting tenant. About 6:30 that evening he saw the defendants going towards the hill. He took a rabbit from one of the snares. - Fined 15s each including costs. Allowed seven days to pay.
