A LOCAL WEDDING. - An interesting and pretty wedding was solemnised at the Harmondsworth Parish Church on Saturday [13th], the contracting parties being George James Seymour, of 7th Division, Royal Fusiliers, now stationed at Dover, second son of Mr. Thomas William Seymour, Bath Road, and Charlotte Louisa Pope, youngest daughter of Mr. John Pope, of Harmondsworth. The bride,
who was attired in a grey costume, with a black hat trimmed with white osprey, and wore a military badge brooch, the gift of the bridegroom, was given away by her brother, Mr. James Pope.
She was attended by four bridesmaids, viz., Miss E. Willoughby, Miss S. Pope, Miss Hester Pope, and Miss Maggie Pope. The two little Misses Pope carried bouquets of pink and white tulips, the gifts of Mr. James Pope, while all four bridesmaids had button-holes composed of pink carnations and white narcissi. Mr. Albert Croxford acted as best man. A reception was held at the home of the bride's father, when the guests present were: Mr. and Mrs. John Pope, jun., Mr. and Mrs. W. Seymour, Mr. James Bryant, Miss V. Johnson, Mrs. Croxford, Miss M. Croxford, Mr. Leonard Croxford, Master Thomas Hutton, and others. The future home of Mr. and Mrs. Seymour will be at Harmondsworth.
The bride and bride groom were the recipients of numerous useful presents.
