St John the Baptist - parish church.

Can anyone help me please? My great grandparents John Richard (sometimes Richard John) Tickner and Emma Pelham were married on 4th July 1880 in Croydon Parish Church. The certificate actually says "Marriage solemnized at The Parish Church in the Parish of Croydon in the County of Surrey" Solemnized by "G Arthur C----". The rest of the name is not legible.I have looked on the internet to find out the name of the church and have found two, one dedicated to St John the Baptist and one the Church of St Michael and All Angels with St James - both claiming to be the Parish Church of Croydon. Does anyone know which church it would be? Bride and Groom both give their residence as "Croydon" so I don't have addresses for either of them. I am assuming that they were both in service in the area because their birthplaces were Reigate (John Richard) and Leigh (Emma) and they lived in Reigate when the first of their offspring was born later in November 1880 (!!).
