        The wedding took place at St. Helen's Parish Church, Benson, on Saturday of Miss Dorothy May Butcher, eldest child of Mrs. Lily and the late Mr. Harry Butcher, Brook Farm, Benson, and Mr. Thomas Tuckwell, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. William Tuckwell, King's Pool, Ewelme, the Vicar, the Rev. G. H. West officiating.
        The bride was given away by her mother and Mr. William Tuckwell (brother of the bridegroom) was best man.
        The bride was dressed in an ankle-length dress of pink georgette with halo of orange blossom and carried a bouquet of arum lilies and fern.
        The bridesmaids, who were dressed in ankle-length dresses of pale blue art. silk with bandeaux of silver leaves and carried bouquets of tulips and maidenhair fern, were the Misses Margaret and Ruby Butcher (sisters of the bride) and Miss Lucy Tuck- well (sister of the bridegroom).
        A reception was afterwards held at the bride's home to a large number of guests. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Tuckwell will reside at Streatley.
