George BARNES, Chinnor, was summoned to show cause etc, in respect of the illegitimate child of Amelia WITNEY
Defendant denied the paternity, alleging that other men had also been familiar with the applicant.
The Magistrates made an order upon defendant for the payment of 1s 6d per week and the costs of the case viz. 14s
Defendant: "Its not my child, and I never means paying for it."
