        DISORDERLY CONDUCT.-Arthur Bowler, Downley. was summoned for behaving in a disorderly manner in the Oxford-road, so that a breach of the peace was occasioned, on April 6th. He pleaded guilty.- P.C. Plumridge said he saw the defendant quarrelling with another young fellow. He told them to go away. Defendant refused, but the other went away quietly. Defendant was boisterous, and twice tried to throw witness down. He eventually faint- ed away, and had to be taken home by a woman. Defendant was summoned to appear at the last Court, but failed to do so. The Bench imposed a fine of 5s., with 17s. costs, half of which were occasioned by the adjournment owing to defendant's non-appearance at the last Court.

        RIDING ASLEEP - Arthur BOWLER carter of Lewknor Oxon, who did not appear, was summoned for riding asleep in the Borough on May 1st. PC Wise proved the offence, which took place in the London Road. Defendant was lying in the bottom of his wagon and wrapped in a rug. The reins were dragging along the ground. Fined 10s including costs.

        DRUNK - Arthur BOWLER, labourer, Garsington, was charged with being drunk on the highway at Garsington, on 9th July - Prisoner did not attend - PC FOULKS said that on Saturday, the 9th, he was on the Garsington Road when he saw the prisoner asleep on the ground. On witness asking him who he was he became very abusive. - Fines 2s 6d and 3s costs, or seven days hard labour.

        DISMISSED.- Arthur Bowler. labourer, Garsington. was summoned for assaulting his wife, Alice Bowler, at Garsington, on September 7th, and pleaded guilty. - Complainant stated that on Thursday week, when her husband came home from work, he took her by the throat and used filthy language, at the same time asking her what tales she had been telling about him. They both went for the police. The Chairman said he did not think the Bench could do anything for complainant, and they should dismiss the case. "
